CARLIN driver Ricky Collard achieved his maiden win in the BRDC British Formula Three Championship after a lightning start to the third and last race of the weekend at Rockingham.
Collard launched incredibly well from third on the grid to storm into a lead he never lost.
Team-mate Lando Norris was on the podium for the third time over the weekend, ensuring that two Carlin drivers were on the steps for each race.
However, there was disappointment for Ameya Vaidyanathan who was forced to retire after starting in a strong fourth position.
Norris started from pole position in the final race, with Collard third and Vaidyanathan fourth. However, Collard got the best start by far and as the cars made their way round the banking, he already had the lead.
Collard proceeded to control the race, with the gaps consistent between him, Matheus Leist in second and Norris in third.
After 15 laps, Collard was an impressive winner for the Farnham-based Carlin team.
