Clanfield slipped to a 19-run defeat at Petersfield’s second team on Saturday.

Openers Tom Horwood (56) and Jake Hastie (52) scored half-centuries as Petersfield scored a competitive 194 for six. Dan Sharpe (one for 23) was the pick of the Clanfield attack.

Clanfield fell to 96 for six in reply, despite a fine 37 by Alex Andrews.

Kuthub Malikoo (47) gave the visitors hope, but the damage had already been done and the innings closed on 175 for nine.
