DIVISION Five of the I’Anson featured an intriguing local derby on Saturday, with Farncombe Wanderers at home to Farncombe 2nd XI. It turned into a bit of a stroll for the I’Anson newcomers. Wanderers were bowled out for 136 (Keith Dawkins 52 not out) and Farncombe openers Glenn Wakeham and Dale Briggs knocked off the runs, both making 53 not out.

B-J Duddell hit 121 for Witley II, helping them to 226-8 against Wood Street II. The home side could manage only 90 in reply, with Oliver Phillips taking 6-14.

In Division Four, Vinnie Sharma scored a century for Frimley III, but ended on the losing side. Frimley were replying to Grayshott III’s 219-6 declared (Michael Furniss 58, Toby Joyce 51) and after Sharma’s 108, the next highest score was 11. Frimley were bowled out for 157.

Leaders Grafham were without a game and held their advantage ahead of Kingsley and Wrecclesham who drew a hard-fought encounter.

There was also a centurion in Division Six, opener Desai making an unbeaten 101 for promotion-hunting Tongham II who beat Blackheath III.

Skipper Marcus Price batted throughout the innings for 87 not out as Peper Harow II totalled 230-8. But they were denied their first win of the season in Division Seven, Kingsley II replying with 176-5 (Dean Murphy 51).
