HASLEMERE 2nd XI have won promotion to the Fullers Surrey League 2nd XI Division One and only just missed out on the championship.

In their final game, Neil Cooper’s side restricted Chobham II to 145-9 at the Rec. But Haslemere’s reply lasted only 15 overs before rain forced an abandonment. They had reached 83-2 (Scott Boxall 37, Graham Boxall 21) and were ahead of the run-rate. Another 25 minutes and Haslemere would have gone up as champions.
