IT is Grayshott Cricket Club’s turn to host the knockout cup finals this Sunday – one of the highlights of the I’Anson season.
Last year’s winners, Puttenham and Frensham, will both be defending their trophies.
Puttenham meet Elstead in the Stevens Cup final and Frensham will play Dogmersfield in the Pope Cup final.
Both finals will be played 16 eight-ball overs per side, with the Pope match starting at 12.30pm and the Stevens final following at about 3.30pm.
This year will see the introduction of fielding restrictions and ‘free hits’ for front-foot no-balls. Four fielders must be fielding inside a circle, measuring 30 yards from the centre of the pitch. Field placings for a free hit will not be changed from the previous delivery.
Car parking at Grayshott will be allowed on the top side of the Sportsfield by the skateboard park
The pavilion bar will be open from mid-day and will be serving a wide selection of beers, ciders, wines and non-alcoholic drinks. Tea and coffee will also be available and a barbecue will include a selection of vegetarian food.
