TILFORD II beat bottom side Puttenham II to maintain their unbeaten record at the top of the I’Anson Division Three.
Martin Cantwell lost his fifth toss in a row, but he and Chris Wilson got Tilford off to a flyer with 50 in quick time and Ryan Chitty and Wilson then saw the 100 up in the 25th over before Wilson went for a fine 56. Gavin Nesbitt (41) and Hamish Macdonald upped the run-rate and Tilford posted 247-7.
Puttenham were tied down by the accuracy of James Clements and Oliver Clarkson and then spinners Jack Cantwell and Rick Austin reduced the visitors to 89-6 (Elliott 37). Ben Plant rallied his side with a composed 54 and he and Lee Randall took the score to 150 in the next seven overs. However, Clements returned to remove Plant and after some lusty blows from the tail, Puttenham finished on 179-9.
Second-placed Kingsley looked on course for an easy win after dismissing Blackheath II for 107. Only Bobby Lowe (28) got going against a strong home attack, headed by skipper Oli Cooper who took 4-13 in seven overs.
Ben Hodges (4-29 in 9 overs) proved a handful, though, and when he dismissed opener Sam Parrott for 36, Kingsley were six wickets down and the result was in the balance. However, Nick Randall was joined by Adam Robinson and their unbroken stand saw Kingsley home in the 30th over.
Bramley fought back from the brink to beat Grayshott III by 11 runs. Opener Tim Fraser was in fine form for Bramley and when he was stumped for 63, the home team were 153-3. James Renny (35) took the attack to the bowlers, but spinner James Baccarini (5-60) changed things and Bramley were all out for 198.
Mark Morris, dropped twice before he had reached 20, made Bramley pay with an impressive 93 and Grayshott were coasting at 150-3. But with Ali Holmes switching from spin to pace and the introduction of Sangwan, Grayshott collapsed and their ten men fell just short on 187.
Peper Harow chose to bat first against Grayswood II and a quickfire opening partnership of 41 between Glenn Taylor and Chris Ford seemed to justify the decision. However, the pitch offered indifferent bounce and although Kamran Choudhary hit a quick 25, the home team collapsed to 125 all out in the 30th over, with Simon Nobes (5-33) doing most of the damage.
Grayswood openers Tom White and Chris Locke survived the 20 minutes before tea before falling lbw to Khaqan Aziz. Mike Morgan and Tim Matthews fought their way to 48-2 off 22 overs, but the bowling and fielding were tight and Grayswood crashed to 64-7 and although Chris Holmes and Ameya Moghe added 31 in a valiant stand, they were all out for 101 in the 39th over, still 24 runs behind. A disappointing result after their good performance in the field.
Pick of the Peper Harow bowlers was veteran Steve Bradley with 4-21 in eight overs.
Inzy Azeem hit a fast 65 on his return for Wood Street and with useful contributions from Rory Leach (27) and James Grist (38), the home side managed 168 against Dogmersfield II.
After losing an early wicket to James Grist, the visitors got the runs quite comfortably. Santosh made 45 and skipper Khush Subhani 35 not out, and with a gift of 39 extras, Dogmersfield won by five wickets after 36 overs.
