A CALL has gone out for cricketers to represent Phyllis Tuckwell Hospice in a charity T20 match against Bridges Estate Agents.
All proceeds from the match will support the vital hospice care Phyllis Tuckwell provides for local people living with a terminal illness.
“We need players for the Phyllis Tuckwell team,” said Ruth Masters, fund-raising manager at the hospice. “We’ve already beaten Bridges at football, and now we want to show them how we play cricket.
“Batter, bowler or fielder – whatever your skill, if you would like to take part in the game, call 01252 729446 or email [email protected] to sign up. And if you’re not too keen on the active side of the game, come and join in the cheering.”
The match will take place on Thursday, August 18 at Farnham Cricket Club (start 4pm) and the event will continue afterwards with prize-giving, drinks and a buffet at Borelli’s Wine Bar in Farnham.
“We would like to thank Bridges for organising this event and for their ongoing corporate partnership with Phyllis Tuckwell, as well as Borelli’s, Allways Glazing Works Ltd, Kall Kwik and West Street Newsagents for their support,” added Ruth.
