THE UNDER-16 Farnham floorball team Fireballs were in superb form in the first competitive matches of the year.
They and the under-13 Shooting Stars took on opponents from the Cotswolds area.
The Fireballs wasted no time in going 2-0 up against Ilmington Arrows with goals from Thomas Banes-Walker and Ben Riglar.
Further goals in the second half from Alex York and a second from Thomas Banes-Walker stretched the final score to 4-0.
The second match for Fireballs was against Cotswold Hornets and again they took a two-goal lead in the first half, courtesy of two strikes from Rasmus Hermansson.
The second half saw the Fireballs extend the lead through goals from Alex York, Finn Tibbert-Wykvliet, Thomas Banes-Walker and Rasmus Hermansson to give him a hat-trick and bring the final score to 6-0.
That ensured the Fireballs maintained their 100 per cent record this season, with goalie George McGowan rarely troubled in achieving two shut-outs.
Fireballs coach Tom Jeffrey said: “We were really pleased. The nice thing is the whole team are improving every time they play. We want to play our best game whenever we play so we’ll carrying on the work we do together in training so we can continue to improve from here.”
The club are continuing to look for new players – especially in school age Years 4 to 7.
