ALDERSHOT Town have signed Scottish Under-21 international defender Dominic Hyam on loan from Reading until the end of the season.
The 21-year-old previously had loan spells at Hemel Hempstead and Basingstoke Town in National League South, and last season also made 16 appearances in League Two with Dagenham & Redbridge.
In August 2016, Hyam began a further three-month loan spell with Portsmouth, before playing for the Royals in their Checkatrade Trophy tie against Yeovil Town in January.
Born in Leuchars in Fife, Hyam has won five caps for the Scotland U21 side, and in 2013 was part of the Reading team which reached the Premier Academy League final. He signed an extension to his professional contract at the Madejski Stadium in May 2016.
Hyam, who will wear shirt number 18, came on for last few minutes at Macclesfield.
* Chelsea U23s Premier League 2 fixture against Sunderland on Friday, April 7 (ko 7.05pm) has been switched from Aldershot to Stamford Bridge.
This means that the Blues will complete their season at the EBB Stadium on Friday April 21 by hosting league leaders Everton. Kick-off is 7.05pm, with admission priced £3 and £1.
