LIPHOOK made further progress in the Hampshire Premier League with a fine 3-2 home victory against sixth-placed QK Southampton.

Ryan Angear put Liphook in front after just seven minutes. Callum Drake equalised before half-time, but Steve Harding restored the lead and Angear’s second goal in the 78th minute put the game to bed.

Clanfield got the better of Locksheath in an eight-goal encounter. Matt Rowland scored a hat-trick and there was one apiece from Darren Ferguson and Ollie Amos as Clanfield eventually prevailed 5-3.

The game between Liss Athletic and Paulsgrove was postponed.

In Division One, Four Marks drew 4-4 with Broughton. Goals from Steve Brown, Ben Coverdale and Paul Gibbs, plus an own goal, earned Marks a share of the points against their second-placed opponents.

Rob Haig scored the only goal of the game in the 18th minute as Headley beat Overton Reserves 1-0 in the second round of the Aldershot Intermediate Cup.
