ALTON and Laverstock & Ford shared four goals in an entertaining Sydenhams League Division?One match on the 3G pitch at The Enclosure.

It was an excellent effort by the Brewers against the second-placed side.

Matt Jackson put Alton ahead after 25 minutes and the home side held the lead until well into the second half. Archie Lovegrove eventually equalised and Laverstock seemed to have turned the game around when Adam Bourner put them in front on 76 minutes.

But the lead lasted just two minutes. Jake Channon levelled things up and Mark Corbett’s men held out to secure a notable point.

Alton are home to Fawley this Saturday and they visit Christchurch next Wednesday.
