Farnham Town defender Dan Bayliss has completed a move to Southern League Premier South side Basingstoke Town on a 28-day loan deal as he steps up his return from injury.

Bayliss joined the Town from National League South side Chesham United in October 2025 and went on to make 25 consecutive starts in the Southern League Premier South, playing a key role in Farnham’s promotion-winning campaign.

In April 2026, Bayliss suffered an ankle injury in the first half of Farnham’s 1-0 away win at Wimborne Town which forced him to miss the final ten games of the season.

The centre-back returned to pre-season fully fit but picked up an injury in Farnham’s penultimate pre-season friendly against Yeovil Town, which sidelined him for the past 12 weeks while he recovered.

Over the past couple of weeks, Bayliss has returned to training and is now cleared for a return to action as he joins Basingstoke Town on a short-term loan deal to build up his match fitness before rejoining the first-team setup at Farnham Town.

Bayliss spent the early years of his career at Basingstoke Town before joining Bracknell Town in 2019 and will return to a familiar environment as he resumes playing.
