Farnham Town’s new 210-capacity stand has been officially opened.

The new stand, clad in claret to match the club’s colours, is situated on the west side of The Memorial Ground beyond the existing SO Resi Family Stand which was completed in April 2023.

The expansion opens up a previously cordoned-off area of the stadium, allowing for matchday attendees to now watch the games from a new vantage point.

The new 210-capacity state-of-the-art covered stepped standing stand was officially opened before Farnham’s 4-0 win at home to AFC Croydon Athletic on March 16.

“When I became a part of Farnham Town I wanted to help improve the club on the pitch and off the pitch,” said club director Harry Hugo.

“Last season we made huge progress off the pitch with the opening of the SO Resi Family Stand, as well as other tangible infrastructure investments.

“This season we’ve been absolutely smashing it on the pitch and it was about time we caught up off the pitch!

“The new stand is an all-standing stand, and perfectly complements the all-seater SO Resi Family Stand – it means we can now offer covered seating and covered standing on that side of the ground.

“The new stand is clad in claret so it looks like our stand and not something random. We’ve thought carefully about the whole ground so it clearly is Farnham Town’s ground.

“Our attendances have been growing again this season – and it’s great to improve the matchday offering for our fans.”
