THE wet weather severely disrupted the Hampshire Premier League programme on Saturday, with most games being postponed.

However, Liphook United’s Senior Division match against Fleetlands went ahead and the home team ran riot against their struggling opponents, winning 12-0.

Marcus Bedford took the honours with five goals. Steve Harding notched a hat-trick, another Bedford, Tom, got two, and Tom Hutchins and Richard Covey scored one apiece as Liphook regained fourth place in the league table.

Liphook turn their attention to the Hampshire Intermediate Cup this Saturday. The former cup winners are home to local rivals Alresford Reserves who are currently fifth in the Wyvern Combination East Division.
