LIPHOOK United went top of the Hampshire Premier League on goal difference after a narrow 2-1 home win against basement side Colden Common.
Steve Harding put Liphook ahead from the penalty spot after just two minutes, but Colden quickly won a penalty of their own and Dave Warnes converted for the equaliser.
Liphook left it until the 80th minute to regain the lead and Ryan Angear’s strike clinched the three points.
Clanfield moved closer to the leaders with a 6-0 romp against Hedge End Rangers. Harry Potter put the home side ahead just before half-time and goals flowed in the second half from Andy Brown (2), Ollie Amos, Owen Milne and Cam Palin.
Liss Athletic recorded an excellent win over high-riding Locks Heath. Sharpe scored both Liss goals in the first half.
In Division One, Gerrard Joseph scored twice in AFC Petersfield’s 3-0 victory at fellow strugglers Michelmersh. Will Yates was also on target.
