PETERSFIELD Town had hopes of ending their long losing run when Matt Andrews gave them an early lead against Potters Bar on Saturday.

However, the visitors were awarded a penalty in the 68th minute and Michael Murray equalised from the spot. With nine minutes to go, Murray scored again and Potters Bar came away 2-1 winners.

On Easter Monday, Petersfield were again holding their own when they visited Fleet Town. After a goalless first half, Josh Harfield and Mitch Parker scored in rapid succession to secure a 2-0 victory for Fleet.

Petersfield have one more chance to end a disastrous season on a positive note. They host Arlesey Town in their final Southern League fixture this Saturday before dropping back to the Wessex League.
