PETERSFIELD Town were thumped 4-0 at Aylesbury on their belated return to Evo-Stik Southern League action on Tuesday night.

The Rams found themselves 2-0 down inside half an hour after two quick goals from Aylesbury striker Lynton Goss, who went on to complete his hat-trick two minutes from time, shortly after fellow striker Gareth Price had put the game beyond the reach of the visitors.

The Rams are on their travels again on Saturday when they face high-flying Cambridgeshire outfit St Ives Town in Division One Central (kick-off 3pm).
