WIN or lose on Saturday, Aldershot Town manager Gary Waddock will be flying high the next day with former club chairman Terry Owens when the pair undertake a skydive for charity at Netheravon in Wiltshire.

Terry, joint founder of the club in 1992, and Gary will be accompanied by their daughters, Zoe and Chanel, in the tandem skydive from 13,000 feet. A 40-second freefall at over 120mph down to 5000 feet will be followed by a five-minute canopy ride to the ground.

The ever-enthusiastic Terry Owens is experienced at this sort of thing. His fourth and final skydive will mark his 70th birthday. It is Zoe’s second jump, while Gary and Chanel are doing it for the first time.

The jumpers are raising money for three charities: the Brain Tumour Charity, the Broadhurst Welcome Home Community, and the Leah Wigmore Melanoma Research Fund

To support Terry Owens’ skydive, send a text to 70070 followed by the text message Rush17 £ and then the amount donated after the £ sign. Make sure there is space between Rush17 and the £ sign. Supporters can send anything from £2.
