WEYDON School made history last year by reaching the final of The PlayStation National Cup for U14 B teams, finally losing to the powerful Thomas Telford side at Reading’s Madejski Stadium.

Weydon have re-entered this season as an Under-15 B side and have just made their longest journey to date, to Ivybridge Community College in Plymouth, where they clinched their place in the quarter-finals with a hard-earned 2-1 victory.

After a first-round bye, Weydon notched up two big away victories, beating Winston Churchill College, Woking 7-3 and then trouncing St Bonaventures, Forest Gate, London, 8-3.

After travelling 520 miles over 12 hours so far, the Farnham side are hoping for a home draw in the fifth round.

They deserve it.
