Farnham skipper James Berry won the toss and elected to bat on what looked like a favourable pitch for batting.
Openers Russell Golding and debutant Angus Watson started positively, but two wickets fell within the first ten overs to leave Farnham 32 for two.
Golding was joined by Berry and they produced a much-needed partnership of 81. But both fell in quick succession, Golding for 46 and Berry for 38.
More wickets followed to leave Farnham 121 for seven, and they needed some lower order runs to post a respectable score. Farnham were all out for 156 after some decent contributions from Will Graham and Mohammed Taha.
After a decent bowling performance from East Molesey seamer Oliver Hayley, who took four for 38, the away side were the happier of the two teams at tea.
Farnham needed early wickets to put East Molesey under pressure after posting what looked like a below par total.
Overseas quick bowler Will Graham was able to remove opener Jake Kings and number three Tiam Afshar, leaving them 24 for two.
But a decent bowling start was outdone by former professional Oliver Hayley, who smashed a quick-fire 88 off 34 balls, including eight fours and eight sixes. He was well supported by opener Kieran Burge, who made 49.
A consolation wicket for Russell Golding left the visitors three down with the scores level. Dylan Marx was able to hit his first ball for four to win the game for East Molesey inside 16 overs.
It was a disappointing day for Farnham against a strong East Molesey side. They travel to Dorking on Saturday hoping to get back to winning ways.
