FOUR Frensham Sailing Club boats have qualified for the 50th Cadet World Championships in Buenos Aires, Argentina next December

The final qualifying event for Cadet teams took place at The Royal Corinthian Yacht Club, Burnham-on-Crouch and up for grabs were ten places to represent GBR in Buenos Aires.

Not many classes can claim to have held 50 world championships.

The selector series took place across three events at Weymouth, Stone and Burnham and the 17 competing Frensham boats continued the strong history the club has in the class.

The venues were all challenging, particularly Burnham with its tides. But the whole fleet sailed superbly and with the competition so fierce, Frensham were delighted and proud to have four boats qualifying to represent their country later this year.

The successful Frensham teams (pictured) are: Issie and Emily Speirs; Megan Ferguson and Yasmin Sfaxi; Ryan Wilkinson and Eliza Jones; Anna Morgan and Jemima Hill.

Frensham’s Antonia Wilkinson is also off to the World Championships after crewing for Jamie Harris (Bristol Corinthian). This team were the series winners.
