Frensham Pond Sailing Club hosted 47 young sailors from across the southern region for the culmination of the RS Tera dinghy sailing traveller series.

With their distinctive orange and white sails, and under stunning blue skies, young sailors aged from nine to 15 years of age took to the water to battle it out over a series of races.

Frensham Great Pond provided the stunning backdrop while sailors competed to finish a course in the fastest time.

Local sailor Will Stratton-Brown won first place in the Pro class, and local Zoe Lomas-Clarke won first place in the Sport class.

It was also a very big day for 12 young sailors at Frensham, who completed their first dinghy sailing event.

Ably supported by staff and volunteers Frensham Pond Sailing Club, it was a successful day on and off the water, and a fabulous glimpse of a bright future for youth sailing at Frensham Pond.
