ALDERSHOT Town's parlous financial situation was revealed after the club went into administration last week.

At a hastily arranged press conference on Friday, with strains of "There's only one Terry Owens" drifting in from outside where unhappy Shots fans were gathered, joint administrator Carl Jackson of Quantuma Restructuring, put the total debt at £1m, of which £300,000 is football related and £700,000 is owed to other creditors.

Administration came five days after Aldershot had been relegated and the decision was taken after the players and other staff were not paid their wages for April.
