COWDRAY Park Ladies’ new captain, Lil Cummins, held her ‘drive-in last Friday.

The ladies’ committee welcomed her by telling her life story in about 15 minutes, after which 84 members played a mixed stableford competition in fine weather. 

Results: Ladies – 1st, Sue Brown (37 pts); 2nd, Lille Beau Thorpe (36); 3rd, Marilyn Davis (35); 4th, Tessa Stockwell (34). Nearest the Pin: 9th – Fiona Sapsworth; 11th – Jane Holden. Men – 1st, Todd White (43 pts); 2nd, Dave Lucking (41); 3rd, Phil Cummins (40). Nearest the Pin: 3rd – Simon Seymour; 17th – Todd White.  Nearest the 12th in 2: Mick Fillary. 

A sum of £890 was raised for Macmillan Cancer.
