FARNHAM Golf Club captains’ charity for 2015 was the Kent, Surrey and Sussex Air Ambulance.
Sam Coulter, the club captain, organised various fund-raising events, including a remarkable sponsored golf marathon of seven rounds in a day, which he completed last June, and a successful attempt on the fastest round of golf by a team (recently ratified by Guinness World Records at 13mins 42 secs).
Kate Sear, last year’s lady captain, also arranged a number of events in support of the charity, raising the total sum to £9,580.
This was in addition to the £8,250 raised for the Phyllis Tuckwell Hospice at the 2015 Pro-Am competition, with the help of Dickie Molden.
