KART racers Harry Newman-Oakley, from Headley, and Alex Keens, from Liphook, have been invited to take part in the prestigious ‘King of Clubs’ championship event at Whilton Mill Kart Circuit in Northamptonshire.

The annual event invites the top karters from clubs across the country in specific classes to take part in a team event and also race for the ‘Ace of Clubs’ trophy.

Harry and Alex, both 12, attend Bohunt School in Liphook and have been driving karts since the age of six and racing competitively since eight.

Harry has only stepped up to the Rotax Engined ‘Mini Max’ class from the Honda Cadet Class this year and to be invited by Forest Edge Kart Club to represent them in the King of Clubs is a great achievement.

Alex races in the ultra competitive Iame Cadet class and this is his final year before moving up to Junior Class.

The youngsters are great friends and have never raced competitively against each other. However, for the King of Clubs, Harry will be racing for Forest Edge and Alex for Whilton Mill. May the best team win!
