Aldershot Town Football Club have decided not to change the area reserved for away fans at the EBB Stadium.

In a statement, the club said: “Following internal discussions and having listened to external supporter feedback, the club will not be pursuing plans to rearrange the logistics for away fans and the South Stand/Slab.

“To confirm, this means that the current set-up will be remaining in place. Initial discussions with the relevant safety authorities were positive, but the club has decided to listen to feedback from the plan’s proposal and not move forward.

“The only proposal being put in place will be an extension of the East Bank for home supporters into half of No Man’s Land for unsegregated fixtures – enabling approximately an extra 200 home supporters to be in the East Bank for these games.

“Therefore the areas currently known as Away Terrace Covered - in the East Bank - Away Terrace Uncovered and the South East Seating (Away) will remain as away supporters only, and the Slab and the west side of the South Stand will remain as areas for home supporters.

“The Slab and the west block of the South Stand seating have now been unblocked on Fanbase, and will be available for our supporters to buy their season tickets there. All seats in this section currently occupied by season ticket holders will remain reserved for their current occupants until the end of the season ticket early bird period on July 1 at 5pm.”

Aldershot Town’s pre-season friendlies have been finalised. All the matches will be played away from home, at Badshot Lea (July 12, 3pm), Metropolitan Police (July 15, 7.30pm), Billericay Town (July 19, 3pm), Eastbourne Borough (July 22, 7.45pm), Dorking Wanderers (July 26, 3pm), Sholing (July 29, 7.30pm) and AFC Totton (August 2, 3pm).
