ALDERSHOT Town's administrators remain confident that the club will be playing in the Football Conference next season.
Quantuma Restructuring were appointed administrators after Aldershot's relegation from League Two. Joint administrators Carl Jackson and Paul Goddard issued a statement last Thursday.
"Over the past week the administrators of Aldershot Town have made positive strides towards securing the future of the club. Discussions continue with genuine potential buyers and we hope to issue a further update on this shortly.
"Let us reiterate that our ambition remains to find a potential buyer and we are now working beyond the initial deadline of June 8 in order to get the club out of the difficult and upsetting situation it finds itself in. We remain optimistic that Aldershot Town FC will be playing Conference football next season.
"We would like to encourage fans to purchase season tickets for the 2013/14 season. During administration, the monies will be held in a separate trust account and will only be paid out to the club on a match-by-match basis through the season. In the event that the club were to be unable to fulfill all its fixtures next season, the balance would be refunded to fans.
"We ask fans to remain patient during this time and we will endeavour to update them with a further statement shortly."
One of the parties interested in taking the club out of administration is the Aldershot Town Supporters 'Shots Trust' which is pressing the case for community ownership. The trust's board has met with the administrators and asked to be considered as a bidder.
