ALDERSHOT TOWN 1, HYDE 0

ALDERSHOT secured the three points that were an absolute must against already relegated Hyde, but what hard work they made of it in front of their anxious fans on Saturday.

It was not easy against opponents who were prepared to defend with all their men behind the ball, but Aldershot, though they couldn't be faulted for effort, struggled in a way that hardly augers well for an intimidating run of three successive away games – leaders Luton this Saturday, fourth-placed Alfreton on April 8 and Macclesfield on April 12.

"At this stage of the season, it's all about the points," said manager Andy Scott.
