FARNHAM recorded an encouraging pre-season win at Wilkinson Way, coming back from 21-5 down to win 24-21 against Portsmouth who compete a league above in London 2SW.

Farnham 1st XV begin their London 3SW season this Saturday with an eagerly anticipated home local derby against Basingstoke, kick-off 3pm at Monkton Lane.

Following a season of consolidation, Farnham have clear ambitions for promotion, while relegated Basingstoke are looking to rebuild. It’s all set up to be a high-tempo encounter.

Petersfield, after last season’s close brush with relegation, start their Hampshire 1 campaign with a visit to New Milton & District this Saturday.

Alton (Hants 2) and Haslemere (Surrey 4) play their first league games on September 24.
