Petersfield Rugby Club’s under-18 Colts earned an emphatic 39-5 win against Bognor in Hampshire Division Two (South) Colts.

Field attacked from the off and Harris scored the first try just a minute into the game. Whitear converted to put Field 7-0 up.

Bognor struck back swiftly on the seven-minute mark and scored a try to make it 7-5.

Watson then flew over the line for Field’s second try.

Van Laun belted down the left wing and across the pitch to score Petersfield’s third try, with Whitear adding the conversion.

On 25 minutes Ffrench-Lynch scored a try under the posts, and Whitear’s conversion gave Field a 26-5 lead at half-time.

Watson scored his second try on 42 minutes, Whitear slotted a penalty on 50 minutes and Chinnock rounded off the day with a chase and ground try.
