A PACKED clubhouse balcony at Monkton Lane enjoyed a thrilling final to the annual Farnham Sevens – the 56th game of an action-packed day.
Four-times winners St Paul’s Pirates narrowly beat tournament newcomers Smashy Cubs to lift the main trophy.
Fijian side Lomaiviti Rugby won the Plate competition, having overcome a side comprising mainly their countrymen from the Guards Division earlier in the day.
In the more social sections, White Horse took the Vase, while the Trainwrecks carried off the Bowl.
As skipper of the Trainwrecks, Karl Brown had a particularly special day. Not only did he organise the competition, but later that evening he celebrated his 50th birthday at the clubhouse, with guests enjoying a live band and hog roast.
As a tough but always enjoyable season comes to a close, the Farnham RFC members and committee take the opportunity to thank their sponsors, friends and the Farnham community as a whole for their support.
