The last undefeated record in the Farnham & District Billiards & Snooker League has gone as runaway league leaders Sovereign B were vanquished by Comrades A.
But their 3-1 loss included one of the performances of the season as Aaron Downey made breaks of 52 and 46 in a 98-13 win against Ian Etherington.
Sovereign C triumphed 3-1 in a bottom two clash against Lindford B but the latter has a game in hand with only three points separating them and seventh-placed Grayshott.
They were seen off by eighth-placed Shottermill B with Dong Ming Lau making breaks of 23 and 22 in a 3-1 win.
The title race may not be over in Division Two as Bourne B’s 4-0 win over Traco E was their second in a row. They are four points behind leaders Hindhead RBL B and three ahead of Farnham Cons after their 3-1 wins against Hindhead RBL A and Rowledge B.
Bottom side Comrades B were denied a win by Charlie West and Nick Nield of Liss RBL C, while Passfield gave their promotion hopes a boost with a 3-1 win against Traco B.
There was no surprise at the top of Division 3 with title chasers Alton Cons A winning 3-1 against Lindford C.
Sovereign D’s 3-1 win at Bordon A means there’s just one point between second and fourth, with second-placed Bourne A going down 3-1 to Rowledge C and Bordon B drawing 2-2 with Traco F.
