A SENDING-OFF, and the resulting penalty, turned this game on its head as Aldershot came from a goal down to win convincingly in the end against Welling's 10 men.

With less than 30 minutes remaining on Saturday, the visitors had looked on course to follow up their 2-1 win at Dartford on Boxing Day with three more valuable points on the road.

But the dismissal of centre-back Blaine Hudson weakened their previously water-tight defence and Aldershot were quick to take advantage.

Brett Williams buried the penalty and a brace of goals from Aiden O'Brien wrapped up the points as the Shots turned on the style in the last quarter.
