ALDERSHOT Town look set to resurface as a Conference National side on August 10, with a long trip to former Football League rivals Grimsby Town in prospect.
The way was cleared for the club to come out of administration on Monday when the administrators and the consortium headed by Shahid Azeem issued a joint statement announcing that an agreement had been reached on the purchase of the club.
Azeem's consortium has raised more than £600,000 against the club's total debt of £1m and the shortfall has been greatly reduced thanks to the generosity of supporters responding to an emergency fund and the willingness of creditors to come to an agreement on sums owed.
The Football Conference have yet to give their final approval, but the administrators, Quantuma Restructuring, have given the strongest hint that the club will survive by allowing official training to resume.
