ALDERSHOT Town's awful record at St James' Park ensured that even a goalless draw represented something of a small victory, but the single point earned on Saturday probably left both sides pondering a glass half full.

Without a win at Exeter City in 29 visits since 1955, the Shots comfortably maintained another poor run – that of the Grecians' faltering home form – but returned to Hampshire wondering if they should have capitalised upon a solid performance and several good chances.
