FRUSTRATINGLY profligate and fast becoming their own toughest opponents, Aldershot somehow contrived to lose a game which was theirs for the taking at the Deva Stadium on Tuesday night.

It prompted manager Andy Scott to threaten wholesale changes to his forward-line as his team created ample chances to snatch at least a draw, but yet again failed to convert even the most glaring of opportunities.

"If you can't score goals, you don't deserve anything," was his blunt assessment, "but how we didn't score two or three goals, I do not know. We had much the better chances and it's sickening when you work so hard.

"It's driving me mad."
