ALDERSHOT'S defeat at the Racecourse Ground was definitive proof, as if it were needed, that you don't always get what you deserve.

The Shots were the better side for long periods on Saturday, but the game slipped through their grasp in the final minutes, leaving them with bittersweet emotions in their quest for an upturn in away form.

The quality of Jay Harris's 87th-minute winner was of little solace, but Andy Scott remained phlegmatic in defeat.

"You'd have thought they had ridden in with masks on after running away with three points. It was daylight robbery," he said.
