HAVANT & W 4,
ALDERSHOT TOWN 1
WITH a path to Wembley seemingly laid out before them, Aldershot Town's dreams were dashed on Tuesday night amidst yet more awful weather and a flurry of goals on the south coast.
Two Conference South sides stood between the Shots and a first-ever appearance in the final of a national tournament, but after a lethal second-half display, it was Havant & Waterlooville who thoroughly deserved their semi-final berth and the prospect of another local derby against Gosport Borough.
"I'm devastated because that's the best chance we'll get," said a bitterly disappointed Andy Scott.
