ALDERSHOT got the win they needed to take their relegation struggle to the last day of the season, but they need a miracle to escape the drop now.

Their chances were effectively scuppered when Barnet scored a late goal against Wycombe and survived a penalty in the last minute to clinch the three points. Ironically, it was former Shots player Joel Grant whose penalty was saved by Graham Stack.

It means that Aldershot, three points from safety at the bottom, and with an inferior goal difference, require a seven-goal swing against Barnet, and for AFC Wimbledon, second from bottom, to lose or draw.
