FARNHAM Road Club teenager Luke Skilton took advantage of a warmer Tuesday evening to improve again on his personal best time for a ten-mile time trial.
Twenty-seven riders competed and Skilton’s time of 22mins 51secs gave him fifth place overall in an event won by VC Meudon’s Mark Taylor in 21-48, followed by Ryan Smith (HR Owen-Maserati) in 21-50 and Mike Naulls (VC Venta) in 22-12.
New Farnham member Steve Dowker tied with team-mate Stuart Morgan for seventh place in 23-19.
Most riders were able to improve on their times from the previous week. Other Farnham times: John Cooke 24-21, Roger Chapman 24-49, Dave Welling 24-57, Bruce Jefferies 25-11, Huw Lloyd 25-45, Andy Weller 26-36, Jim Parker 26-40, Steve Ludford (in a first appearance for some considerable time) 27-29, Zoe Gibbs 31-51.
Fastest female rider was Zoe Taylor (Cycle Experience) in 25-37.
Timekeepers were Jim Brown and Ian Thomas, assisted by Michael Rice and Nigel Bicknell.
