THE Rushmoor Rose Bowl gymnastics competition takes place this weekend and promises to be the most impressive for years.
Canadian, Spanish and Dutch teams are in the international line-up, while Great Britain, fresh from the nation’s success in Rio this summer, have entered strong teams, with Olympic reserve Kelly Simm leading the charge.
Two England teams will compete in the international part of the event, while British counties, regions and top clubs make up the five rounds (20 teams) for Saturday’s team and individual competitions.
Sunday morning sees the apparatus finals, with the top gymnasts competing on vault, asymmetric bars, beam and floor for the individual titles.
This world-class event is held at the Gymnastics Centre, Pool Road in Aldershot.
Tickets are available from the box office on 01252 320888.
