A proud record of 12 wins, one draw and no defeats ended last Thursday for Alton Cons A as they lost 3-1 to second-placed Bourne A in Division Three of the Farnham and District Billiards and Snooker League.

Andrew McMinn ended that terrific run with a final frame 49-26 win against John Beagley to close the gap at the top to four points.

The race for the Division One title is virtually over as Sovereign B won 3-1 against Shottermill B to widen their lead to a massive ten points.

Lindford B got two points in their battle against the drop with a 2-2 draw against Liss RBL A, while Fleet Broadway have a win to complement their eight draws thanks to a 3-1 triumph over Sovereign C.

It was an excellent week for Hindhead RBL B and Bourne B as they won 4-0 against Comrades B and Rowledge B respectively to shore up their positions at the top of Division Two. The big win of the night saw second-bottom Traco E beat ex-leaders Passfield 3-1.

Rowledge C and Traco C stay winless at the foot of the league but the former rallied to a 2-2 draw at Alton Cons F in Division Three, while Chris Bryant’s 24 break was the highest outside the top division.
