ALDERSHOT deserved something for their efforts at Home Park on Easter Monday, but fortune favoured the home side and Alex MacDonald's deflected shot after 14 minutes proved enough to secure three points that almost certainly ensures Plymouth's survival in the Football League.

Argyle, inspired by a holiday crowd of 8,677, gave a fighting performance, but were lucky to come through unscathed after Aldershot had totally dominated the second half.
