Bordon Petanque Club held its second major competition of the year at its home terrain located next to The Pavilion at BOSC on June 8.
The open doubles competition hosted 24 doubles teams from various clubs. Some players had travelled from as far afield as Hertfordshire, London and Bournemouth, so there was a great mix of players of all standards.
Several had represented England, so there was some stunning shot making and precise pointing throughout the day.
Cash prizes were awarded to the winners and runners-up of the gold, silver and bronze sections.
The winners of the main event were Johnny Castaing and Christian Revill from London Petanque Club, who beat Bordon Petanque Club member Eliot Mortimore and his partner Mark Robertshaw from Cobbetts Petanque Club.
Bordon Petanque Club was formed after a town twinning visit to Conde-Sur-Vire in Normandy in 1991. For details of the club visit https://www.bordonpetanqueclub.co.uk/
