A DRUG dealer from Farnham has been jailed for two years and eight months for selling heroin and crack cocaine.

Victor Adetoyi, 22, of Sandy Hill Road, appeared at Swindon Crown Court last Friday where he pleaded guilty to two counts of possession with intent to supply Class A drugs, namely heroin and crack cocaine, and one of having criminal property.

He was arrested in Salisbury city centre on April 30 this year following a drugs search by police officers.

He was found to be in possession of more than £1,600 in cash and a mobile phone and three days later, while still in custody, admitted to having a quantity of Class A drugs hidden in his rectum, which was also seized by police.

Pc Ian Tilley, from Wiltshire Police’s Dedicated Crime Team, said: “Dangerous Drug Networks (DDNs) who travel into our county…frequently bring with them knives and other weapons and use violence and threats in order to sell Class A drugs and protect their business interests from competing networks.

“We are committed to tackling the threat and harm posed to our county by members of these networks and will use all legislation available to us to bring offenders to justice.

“This includes keeping suspects in custody for long periods where they are suspected of having illicit items, such as Class A drugs, concealed within their bodies.

“If you are aware of DDN and/or drug activity in your area please call the police on 101. All information we receive is treated with the utmost discretion. Alternatively you can call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 where information can be left anonymously.”
