A MAN has appeared in court charged in connection to an alleged car jacking at Witley station on Thursday last week (January 9).

Andrew Parker, 41, and of no fixed address, was charged with robbery, attempted robbery, aggravated vehicle taking, threatening a person with an offensive weapon and assault of an emergency worker.

He appeared a Guildford Magistrates' Court on January 10 and has been remanded into custody until his next appearance.

The Witley incident took place at around 5.10pm on January 9, shortly after which a car was abandoned 11 miles away in East Street, Farnham after colliding with four other vehicles, and a suspect arrested.
