SURREY Police are appealing for witnesses following a robbery at a BP petrol station in Farnham on Tuesday night .

The incident happened at the petrol station in Hale Road at 11.20pm when a blond haired man entered the shop wearing a balaclava and dressed in black.

He threatened the shop worker with a bladed weapon and made off on foot with approximately £500. Investigating officer Detective Sergeant Tim Hadfield, said: “We are keen to hear from anyone who was in the Hale Road area at around 11.20pm to come forward with any information.

“If you saw anything suspicious, for instance anyone running to or from the area, any unusual driving or perhaps a neighbour coming home late dressed all black, then please call us.”
