PUPILS from Potters Gate School in Farnham made their way to St Andrew’s Church, where they mesmerised audiences with their Christmas nativity, ‘Born in a Barn’.
Both performances were a hit and very well attended, with the Mayor and Mayoress of Farnham, John and Gillian Ward, in attendance on Wednesday evening, as well as Dr Steve Green, the Diocesan director of education.
Anna Mallett, from Potters Gate School, said: “The nativity,‘Born in a Barn’, is centred around the commotion in a Bethlehem stable which occurs when the animals realise that there’s a baby in the barn.
“As more and more visitors arrive to greet the new king, the animals slowly realised what a privilege it is to share their home with such an important baby.
“It was very special for the children to perform in the atmospheric surroundings of the church, especially at this time of year when our thoughts turn to the story of Christmas.”
