RISING trampoline star Frederica Vazzana, has won through to the zonal heats of the British Schools Gymnastics Association national trampoline competition.

Frederica, who trains with Alton Trampoline Club, represents Stepping Stones School in Hindhead for children with special needs.

She won first place in the U19 disability novice category at the South East regional heats in Kent back in November, to qualify for the South England zonal competition.

The national championship is held in March.

Headteacher Melissa Farnham said: “This is the first time the school has been represented at this level of competition and as a specialist school it is a huge achievement. We wish her all the best in the next round.

“Frederica herself is both very excited and proud to be representing her school for the first time.”
